Use shift templates and rotations

Templates describe reusable shift times; rotations describe a repeating sequence of working and off days.

Step by step

  1. Review the location’s shift settings before creating a template.
  2. For a rotation, add the steps in the intended order and set how many days each step lasts.
  3. Include off days where needed, then choose the start date and assignment period.
  4. Preview the generated dates and shift times before saving.
  5. Check a few dates at the beginning and end of the period to confirm the sequence starts correctly.

A rotation is only as accurate as its start date and step order. Existing attendance records are separate from planned assignments.

Labels can vary with app version, language and company permissions. If an option is missing, check your account role before changing company data.
