Understand administrators and employee access
OnTimeShift separates company management from employee attendance. Management permissions can also be limited by assigned scope.
Step by step
- Give employees the access they need for their own attendance, requests and assigned shifts.
- Use administrator permissions only for people who manage the company or the relevant workplaces.
- When editing a manager, review their allowed locations as well as the role shown in their profile.
- After changing a person’s permissions, have them reopen the app and check that the expected company and functions are available.
- If access appears wrong, contact the company owner before removing or reinviting the person.
A job title or category is not a substitute for access permissions. Avoid sharing a single administrator login between colleagues.
Labels can vary with app version, language and company permissions. If an option is missing, check your account role before changing company data.
