45 guidesSet up OnTimeShift as an administrator
Start with your company, workplace locations and team. You can begin recording attendance before building a shift schedule.
Join your team as an employee
Your company administrator invites you. You do not need to create a separate company to record your working time.
Create and name your company
The company connects your team, locations, shifts and attendance records under one workplace account.
Invite employees to the right company
An invitation connects an employee to your company using a PIN and their email address.
Understand administrators and employee access
OnTimeShift separates company management from employee attendance. Management permissions can also be limited by assigned scope.
Edit a team member’s profile
Keep names, categories, photos and location assignments accurate so the team view and future planning remain clear.
Use your invitation PIN
Your invitation PIN identifies your team invitation. Email confirmation verifies that you own the invited address.
Confirm your email address
Use the verification message associated with the sign-in or invitation you are currently completing.
Recover or change an employee PIN
Use the recovery options in the app or ask an authorised company administrator to help restore access.
Troubleshoot sign-in problems
Start by distinguishing an administrator sign-in problem from an employee invitation problem.
Clock in with your workplace QR code
Verified attendance checks your workplace QR code, permitted location and the location information required by company settings.
Record the end of your workday
A clock-out closes an open attendance session. Closing the app or leaving the workplace does not record an end time.
Use attendance without planned shifts
Shift planning is optional. A team can use OnTimeShift to record attendance without building a roster first.
Read your current attendance status
Status helps distinguish a running work session from a break, an exit or a completed day.
Why is my QR clock-in not accepted?
A rejected scan may be related to the code, workplace assignment, GPS evidence, timing or the current attendance state.
Understand GPS and workplace verification
OnTimeShift uses a current location reading for attendance checks. It does not continuously track an employee in the background.
Start and finish a break
Record both ends of a break so your attendance has a clear sequence of events.
Record private and business exits
Private and official/business exits are separate event types. Choose the one that describes the reason you are leaving.
Add and check a workplace location
Each workplace has its own identity, location settings and attendance QR code.
Use the right QR for each location
A location QR belongs to its company and workplace. Keep its placement clear so employees do not scan another location’s code.
Assign employees to workplace locations
Location access determines where an employee may record attendance. An assigned shift may identify the relevant workplace for its period.
Create and assign shifts
Use shift planning when you need an advance roster. Attendance remains available without it.
Use shift templates and rotations
Templates describe reusable shift times; rotations describe a repeating sequence of working and off days.
Read the shift calendar
The calendar helps you review planned shifts by date and workplace. The visible information depends on your role and permissions.
Review overlapping shift assignments
A conflict warning helps prevent assigning the same employee to incompatible times or locations.
Review holidays, sick leave and days off
Use the appropriate absence or non-working-day workflow so planned work and attendance are easier to interpret.
View attendance reports for a person and period
Choose the person and reporting period first so totals are interpreted in the right context.
Export, share or print a report
Create a report only after checking the selected person, period and filters.
Request or review an attendance correction
A correction should explain the actual missing or incorrect event rather than create an unrelated extra session.
What if I forgot to clock out?
Ask for a correction so the end of the workday can be reviewed accurately.
Choose a plan for your company
OnTimeShift paid plans are company subscriptions. Limits apply to the company, not separately to each employee.
Understand monthly and yearly billing
Each paid tier has monthly and annual options. Choose the billing period deliberately before confirming in Google Play.
Restore a subscription on another phone
Company data and a Google Play purchase are connected through verified account and subscription information, not simply the device.
Manage or cancel a Google Play subscription
Google Play manages payment and renewal. Cancelling renewal and deleting an OnTimeShift account are different actions.
What happens when a plan expires or exceeds its limits?
A company needs a plan that covers its active locations and employees. Historical records should not be discarded just to change plans.
Manage reminders and notifications
OnTimeShift can use device notifications for reminders and company announcements, depending on the app version and company settings.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Separate a notification-permission problem from a scheduling or recipient-selection problem.
What data does OnTimeShift use?
OnTimeShift uses account, company and work-event data to provide attendance and team management.
Advertising and your privacy choices
Trial and Free companies may see an AdMob banner in the app. Paid company plans remove banners for eligible team access.
Delete your account or request deletion
Use the deletion workflow for your sign-in identity and profile. Uninstalling or signing out does not delete cloud account data.
Add, replace or remove a profile photo
A profile photo is optional and helps colleagues recognise the right person in the team view.
Change your language or appearance
Use the language and theme controls available in the app’s settings to keep the interface comfortable to read.
Move to a new phone
Use your existing account and company access rather than creating a duplicate workplace.
Check connection and refreshed data
A delayed screen should be checked against a working connection and the latest confirmed event.
Contact support with useful details
A short, clear report helps support identify the right app flow without exposing private credentials.
